The Canopy Tour Experience
Shawnee Bluffs Canopy Tour is Southern Illinois’ premier zipline canopy tour, set on 83 private acres surrounded by the Shawnee National Forest. Built in partnership with Geronimo Construction, a world-class canopy course builder, the tour was designed to showcase some of the most breathtaking terrain in the Midwest.
Unlike many zipline courses, Shawnee Bluffs is a 100% tree-based “true” canopy tour, built entirely in the forest with no man-made towers or concrete structures. The course features 8 ziplines, 3 aerial bridges, and 3 short scenic hikes, keeping guests immersed in the forest canopy from start to finish.
Along the way, you’ll soar across a secluded valley above a natural bouldered creek, including a signature 1,100-foot zip reaching speeds up to 40 mph. The adventure concludes with a 180-foot aerial bridge back to the forest floor.
